Der Starter «BLBB» (Dauer ca. 20min) mit dem Lyre-Choir ist inspiriert von den auf dem Hof lebenden Lebewesen wie Hühner, Frösche und Insekten. Wie der Titel schon andeutet, kommt der Gesang ganz ohne menschliche Sprache aus. Die Performance ist eine Kombination des für Chorgesang adaptierten Songs DUST AND WATER von Anohni and the Johnsons und einer rhythmischen Improvisation.
Als konzeptioneller Projektchor ist der Lyre-Choir an der Schnittstelle zwischen Musik und bildender Kunst aktiv. 2015 im Kunstraum Corner College gegründet, war er eineinhalb Jahre nomadisch unterwegs und probte in verschiedenen Zürcher Offspaces. 2022 wurde der Chor wieder aktiviert und tritt bei kulturellen Veranstaltungen auf. Mit der Wahl der Musikstücke, Kostüme und Mini-Choreografien entstehen themen- und ortsspezifische Performances.
Geleitet wir der Lyre-Choir von dem Chor- und Orchesterleiter Oscar Echeverry-Bernal und der Musikerin und Performancekünstlerin Constanza Pellicci.

The starter ‘BLBB’ (duration approx. 20 minutes) with the Lyre Choir is inspired by the creatures living on the farm, such as chickens, frogs and insects. As the title suggests, the singing does not involve any human language. The performance is a combination of the song DUST AND WATER by Anohni and the Johnsons, adapted for choral singing, and a rhythmic improvisation.
As a conceptual project choir, the Lyre Choir operates at the intersection of music and visual arts. Founded in 2015 at the Corner College art space, the choir spent a year and a half touring, rehearsing in various off-sites in Zurich. In 2022, the choir was reactivated and now performs at cultural events. Its performances are specific to a particular theme and location, with the choice of music, costumes and mini-choreographies resulting in this specificity.
